1/4 Red Fir
Very popular, this humus enhances garden beds and walkways, suppresses weeds, regulates soil temperature, adds organic matter to the soil and helps hold soil water. Ideally budget for a 2 inch depth in flat areas and 3 to 4 inches around trees.
1/4 Red Fir Humus is a by-product of the bark milling process. 1/4 red fir humus is fresh fir, screened right off the trees as they are being processed. Very high quality and attractive as a preferred top dressing for flowerbeds. The fir is a soft wood so long lasting which will get darker as it ages.
